Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 October 2026
1. Parties and Scope
This agreement is concluded between Caretta Digital OÜ, established and operating under the laws of Estonia (the “Company”), and the person visiting the platform and/or purchasing the service (the “User”), in order to regulate the terms of use for the telecommunications and digital services (“Service” or “eSIM”) offered on the Carettago.com platform. By making any transaction on Carettago.com, the User accepts these terms.
Company details: Caretta GO is a service of Caretta Digital OÜ, a company registered in Estonia under registry code 17582408, with its registered address at Ahtri tn 12, 15551 Tallinn, Estonia (the “Company”). The Company can be reached at info@carettago.com.
2. Definition and Nature of the Service
The Company provides the User with digital eSIM profiles that supply prepaid data plans for compatible mobile devices. The Service is a digital telecommunications product that does not involve physical delivery. The Company acts as an intermediary between wholesale network operators and the User.
Data-only service; the Company is not a mobile operator: The Company is not a mobile network operator and does not own or operate a mobile network. It resells prepaid mobile data that is carried on the networks of local operators and supplied through its wholesale network partners. The Service provides mobile data only: it does not include a phone number, voice calls, SMS, MMS, voicemail or emergency calling, and an eSIM cannot be used to receive verification codes by SMS. Any service the User obtains over the data connection — for example internet calling or messaging applications — is provided by third parties and not by the Company.
Speed and network technology: Data speed is determined by the local operator’s network, the network technology available there (5G, 4G/LTE, or 3G where it still exists), network load, the User’s device and the User’s location at the time of use. The Company does not promise or guarantee any minimum, average or maximum speed, nor the availability of a particular network technology or of a particular local operator. Where a plan is described as 5G, 5G is used where the local operator offers it and the device supports it; otherwise the connection falls back to the fastest technology available. The Company may also change the network partner through which a plan is supplied, provided the coverage area, data allowance and validity period of the plan remain equivalent.
Fair use and traffic management: Plans are sold for personal travel use. Where a plan is described as “unlimited” or as “high-speed up to a stated amount”, the fair-use allowance and what happens once it is reached — reduced speed or the end of the data session — are stated on the product page at the time of purchase. Local operators and network partners may also apply their own traffic-management rules, including a temporary reduction of speed when a cell is congested. The Service may not be used for permanent use in one country (“permanent roaming”), for commercial resale without a written agreement with the Company, for continuous machine-to-machine or server traffic, or for tethering that replaces a fixed-line connection. Where use breaches this clause, the Company may reduce the speed of the connection, or suspend or end the plan after notifying the User — and, in cases of resale or fraud, without prior notice.
3. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Company does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or 100% suitable for a specific purpose.
- Network dependency and coverage area: eSIM data connectivity depends on the infrastructure of local telecommunications operators in the respective country. The Company cannot be held liable for connection issues resulting from network outages, cell tower failures, geographical obstacles, or infrastructural limitations of local operators.
- Liability cap: In the event of any dispute, the maximum and total financial liability of the Company towards the User is strictly limited to the amount paid by the User for the specific eSIM plan subject to the dispute. The User cannot claim additional compensation for data loss, loss of profit, or any indirect damages. This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, to death or personal injury, to liability under data-protection law, or to any liability that cannot be limited under the mandatory consumer law that applies to the User.
- Third-party actions: The Company cannot be held responsible for failure to provide the Service as a result of the actions of local GSM operators or governments (access blockages, censorship, etc.).
- Device compatibility and carrier lock: Before purchasing, the User is responsible for checking that the device supports eSIM, that it is not locked to a mobile operator (“carrier lock” or “SIM lock”), and that its software is up to date enough to install an eSIM. An eSIM cannot be installed on an incompatible or locked device, and the Company cannot remove an operator lock. Where the User buys a plan for such a device, refunds are handled under the Refund Policy.
4. Refunds, Cancellations, and Right of Withdrawal
Your right of withdrawal ends once the eSIM is installed or activated on a device, because the service has then started. Until then, you can withdraw within 14 days of your order. How to withdraw before installation, and the limited exceptions for refunds after installation, are set out in full in our Refund Policy — please read it before purchasing.
Wrong plan or wrong country: The plan the User selects — its coverage area, data allowance and validity period — is shown before payment and repeated in the order confirmation. The Company is not responsible for a plan bought for the wrong country, the wrong dates or with the wrong allowance. If the eSIM has not yet been installed and its validity period has not started, the Company will exchange the plan for the correct one or refund it under the Refund Policy.
Validity period and unused data: Unless the product page states otherwise, the validity period starts when the eSIM first connects to a network inside the coverage area, and it then runs continuously, including days on which the eSIM is not used. The plan ends when the validity period expires or the data allowance is used up, whichever happens first. Unused data is not refunded, not extended and not carried over to another plan or to a new validity period.
Deleted or lost eSIM: An eSIM profile can normally be installed only once. If the User deletes the eSIM profile from the device, resets the device, or loses the device, the plan is lost and is not refunded, unless the loss was caused by a fault on the side of the Company or its network partners. The Company will try to help with a reinstallation where the network partner allows it, but cannot promise one. The User should keep the QR code and the activation details until the plan has ended.
Mandatory consumer rights: Nothing in this section limits the rights the User has under the mandatory consumer law of the country where the User lives, including the rights that apply when digital content does not work as agreed. Where that law gives the User more than these terms, the law applies.
5. User Obligations
The User may not use the eSIM service for illegal activities, spamming, fraud, or actions that threaten network security. The Company reserves the right to immediately terminate the User’s service without prior notice and without issuing a refund the moment it detects such usage (or the abuse of hotspot/tethering limits).
6. Force Majeure
All situations beyond the reasonable control of the Company — such as cyberattacks, infrastructure collapses, wholesale providers halting service, natural disasters, war, acts of terrorism, pandemics, and sudden changes in telecommunications legislation — are considered force majeure. In cases of force majeure, the Company’s obligations are suspended.
7. Applicable Law and Competent Court
The laws of the Republic of Estonia apply to the interpretation and implementation of this agreement and the resolution of any disputes that may arise. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through negotiation between the parties may be brought before the Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus, Tallinn, Estonia). If you are a consumer, choosing Estonian law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
Consumers: If the User is a consumer, this choice of law and court does not deprive the User of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of the country where the User lives, and the User may also bring a claim before the courts or consumer dispute bodies of that country.
